Assign Location to Suite
Assigning a location to a suite in RoveIQ is an essential step following the creation of a location. While creating a location establishes it within your system, it cannot be routed to until it has a designated place on the map, known as a "suite." Suites are polygons on the map that represent physical areas, such as store spaces or other defined regions. By assigning a location to a suite, you ensure that users can seamlessly navigate to that destination, enhancing the overall utility and functionality of your map. This step integrates locations into the map's routing system, making them accessible for navigation and wayfinding.
-
Navigate to the Map Editor:
- Go to Maps and select Editor.
-
Select a Suite:
- Use the floor selector (if needed) to choose the correct floor.
- Click on the suite you want to assign a location to. The suite will be highlighted, and its details will appear in the work area.

Assign a Location:
- In the details pane, select the location you wish to assign to the suite from the dropdown or search bar.

-
Verify:
- Check that the suite now displays the assigned location on the map to ensure everything is set up properly.
Remove Location from Suite
Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date map is crucial for effective wayfinding. Outdated or incorrect locations can confuse users and disrupt navigation, leading to a poor user experience.
